Performed due diligence in acquisition situations, with an emphasis on
benefits plans and change-in-control triggers. As part of audit team,
reviewed the work of other actuaries for compliance with applicable
accounting standards (generally, SFAS 35, 87, 88, 106 and 132). Chaired
Deloitte’s national Defined Benefit Technical Issues committee. West
Coast representative on Deloitte’s Defined Benefit Operating Committee.
Served as clearinghouse and technical resource for all Deloitte’s
pension actuaries on the West Coast.
